Why are hosts and guests dropping the t's in COTTON and BUTTON?

Okay, I admit it: I am a teacher so this may bother me more than it does others, but has anyone else noticed how often the hosts and guests, especially the young ones, are pronouncing words like "cotton" and "button" as "cah-un" and "buh-un," completely dropping the T sound? I am noticing it in my students, too. What is going on????

From the beginning of the line being presented on QVC Vivki has always looked classy. Her choice of clothing is tasteful, exquisite. She wears the most simple but elegant jewelry. I admire her.

They Would Not Ship Docking Station If Vaccum on Back Order?

I purchased the TSV V35540 Dyson Cyclone V10 Complete Cordfree Vacuum w/ 9 Tools and Docking Station. The next day, I sent a check. My checks never take long to get to QVC, and my orders ship with no issue. 3 days ago, I checked my order and nothing was processing. So, I used my VISA so that the order would not cancel.

Yesterday, the Docking Station shipped, but the status on the vacuum is Back Order and says In Process: 06/20/2018

Do you think they might send a docking station without the vacuum?

Free Adoption in Az this weekend

Az. is giving out free adoption this weekend for dogs/cats over the age of 6 months, they all have shots & microchip. Our local news keeps telling us and seems to be doing very well. I guess they would ask for any donation when you adopt. Hope this will help with the over crowding of shelters.

Hi, Mr. George,

oh my, I’ve been watching QVC since the beginning. I go back to Kathy Lavigne days. I’ve seen hosts come and go, merchandise change and there have been times when I’ve been a constant shopper and then other times just a viewer.

What i I want to comment on is what I notice to be some annoying things that are happening. First up, please don’t allow your hosts to talk endlessly about “behinds” being lifted and then forcing the models to show their backsides. It’s unnessary, crude an annoying. It’s also offensive. Same goes for endless references to the “girls”. Please! Enough of this. I don’t want to have to be embarrassed that I have it on if my grandchildren drop in. It used to be family friendly. Also, you have a few designers who are just downright crude and boorish. Thinking here about Kim Revelle, (endless gushing about why we should love ourselves. I feel so bad for any model that she manhandles and forces to look at herself in the mirror. This is abusive. Make her stop! Now, Susan Graver, you must not let her go crazy every show. She seems like a lovely lady but I can’t understand why she can’t modulate her gig. She is over the top. You cannot indoctrinate people to love your clothes; they either see a style that resonates with them or they don’t.

In general, your hosts talk too darn much and gush inordinately. There is a lot to be said for being a little low key and also choosing to say nothing for a few moments and letting the camera do some work. We aren’t idiots and if we are watching TV or viewing on Facebook, we probably have the gift of sight.

Now, the last thing I want to talk about is your merchandise. It really is not cool to see so much redundancy of things, shoes, shoes, shoes, Graver, Graver, Graver, Denim and Company ad infinitum. Please go on the hunt for new designers, new merchandise, new categories. Too much prepared foods too. Not interested. Organizers, too much. How many bags do we need?? Also, speaking of bags, why do you beat us to death with Dooney and Bourke. This is a very overpriced clunky line imho. I’ve owned many and I’ve yet to buy one that has a good, smooth operating zipper. And how can people lay down that kind of bucks to have a garish red lining on almost every bag of theirs??

I’m baffled by some of QVCs decisions. It seems like you guys are desperately searching for the next quintessential host—you know, your new icon, but you also need exciting merchandise. I see nothing that gets me excited. I do buy a few things time to time as I like to shop, but I’d buy so much more if there was something to buy.

EVERY MONTH I need to CHANGE MY PASSWORD for this Q CARD!!!

It so FRUSTRATING...and of course, I HAVE THE RIGHT PASSWORD AND USER ID yet SYNCHRONY BANK keeps telling me its WRONG...THEN LOCKS ME OUT!!!

The worse part is I have to go through my Q sign in to GET TO the QCARD. PLEASE Q IT DEPARTMENT .... FIX THIS!!! OR GO WITH A COMPANY THAT DOESN'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM.

(I have other cards through Synchrony bank and NEVER have this problem!!!)

I have tried from my IPAD and even my DESKTOP...today, I tried so many times its LOCKED ME OUT!!! MY GOD ... FIX IT!!!!

We just got home and at dusk I was out on the lanai (enclosed) having a salad. My husband says "look at that dog -- oh he's on a leash I see in the lower golf path his owner."

I said that's no human that's another animal! Then I said that dog looks like a wolf or coyote to me! ( I wanted to take pic but he insisted it was a dog.)

A few minutes later here comes these 2 wolves or coyotes walking down the fairway!!! They started running so I didn't get a pic. He was surprised ...and they did look like beautiful husky dogs BUT they certainly weren't!

Too close for me!!!

Work Woes

I've worked at my current company for 14 years - we now have a "new guy" who seems to want to shake up the staus quo, even though he admits this is just an interim gig, while he sorts out options (he ran his own business until recently, when economic changes made that less than feasible). He told me he was in the throes of a "mid-life crisis".

The problem is, he doesn't understand our business, so mostly we (the "regulars") find his suggestions to be un-helpful, but he keeps trying to impose his will, which makes the day-to-day at times difficult. I ask myself, why? If you are not going to make this your livelihood, why can't you just go along with the group? That's how we roll! (Another sign that he just doesn't "get it".) There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow here; it's just work!

I'm trying to damp down my animosity but it gets to me. Thoughts?

Snarky Comments

Usually I try to ignore such comments, but, for the past year or so a certain neighbor feels the need to be unkind. For whatever reason, she only makes comments if another person is present.

For instance, I was working outside wearing faded jeans and a tee shirt, no makeup except for eyebrows (I don't have any). Anyway, she and her husband were passing by and stopped to chat. The husband said my hair looked nice(I had lost my hair due to illness in the past). Before I could say thank you, she chimed in with "she always likes to look like a beauty queen"!! Beauty queen???? I was a sweaty mess from weeding!!! I didn't acknowledge her comment, but, thanked the husband about noticing my hair and said I needed to get back to work.

A month or so later we ran into this couple at a local eatery. I was wearing a D&Co tee shirt dress and flats. Yes, I was showered, had makeup and jewelry on, and my hair was fixed. Her first comment was " well, aren't you fancy??". I smiled and my husband said our table was ready.

At my age, I really don't want or need a confrontation, however, I can't figure out why this woman is being so snarky. We have known her for 30+ years, as neighbors more so than friends. She has made comments over the years and I have ignored them. Ever since my illness and recovery she is worse. I am not the only neighbor that gets these remarks either.

Thanks for listening!!!! I think I will just continue to not comment to her. Although, some days I would really like to shut her up! I just don't understand why some people feel the need to be so unkind, especially to people they really only know to see.

finance charges on Q bill

I was not aware if you do not pay your bill in full every month you get a finance charge tacked on. I always pay more then they want but noticed on my last bill that they charged a finance charge. I called and was told if you don't pay your bill in full every month you get that extra charge. They did remove it and mentioned that I have been with them over 30 years and would love that they consider their new customers as well as the long term ones. I paid the bill in full and told the rep that I would not be buying as much as I used to....no biggie for them. Also doing easy pay is a big pitfall. Thanks for letting me vent.

I just received my two Issac Mizrahi Live! Bridgehampton Cut-Out Leather Handbags in both Citron and Carmel. Well, I'm returning the Carmel one because obviously it was a return with no wrapped handles like the Citron one plus it has a scratch on the magnet part and a small dark brown color on the front lower right hand corner. Apparently someone didn't like it and returned it; I even had to undo the strap because it was all twisted and fix it the right way. I will not have the $6.95 deducted from my refund either. QVC messed up and I'm not happy. This will be last order with them, too.

where do I start.............What a pathetic loser he is.

Dr. Now was so angry with him and his so called"wife".

In the 1st episode that aired his father refinanced his house to get him down to Houston and this is how he pays him back!!!!!!

They are both liars and the nerve they had getting angry at the Dr. with James telling him he's not helping him enough.....and the other one getting indignant when she was basically called a liar.

Tens of thousands of dollars were spent on this loser who thought the weight would come off if he lifts some weights.

Need assistance with a shipping item I never received

I ordered a TSV Logo deessma few weeks ago and never received it. I checked the tracing number and it indicated that it was received by my local post office 6/11/18. I took the Tracking information to them this am and their records indicate they never received it. Now what? Can someone from CS contact me? I’ve tried speaking with CS via phone but this seems to be out of the everyday realm they handle
