Trouble with clarisonic mia

Started 1388768302.723 in Beauty Banter | Last reply 1388881477.487 by UMDTerpFan

My clarisonic Mia is about 2-3 years old. i use it until the charge is gone and then i recharge it. I am having trouble now with getting the Clarisonic to take the charge. is there something wrong with my implement or is this to be expected.

I think mine is starting to go south too - same age. Funny noises and spit and sputtered. 2 -3 yrs about average from what I've read.

Have had mine for 7 years. Charge it every week. No problems.

Mine died at 3 years, I called Clarisonic and bought a replacement for $60 via their loyalty program. Let's see how long this one lasts...

Several people here have mentioned that Clairsonic recommends the device be kept plugged in at all times. That's the way I keep mine which is four years old.

Oops! Did I roll my eyes out loud?

I do not agree with this. I have had my Mia for 3 1/2 years. I charge it every two weeks and I have experienced no problems.

I replaced mine last year (3 or maybe 4 years old) because it wouldn't hold a charge. I would charge it, get maybe 2 washes out of it. I wish it had occurred to me to call Clarisonic!

Fairly medium BE, brownish gold hair with weird white highlights (where did they come from???) green eyes, except when they're blue! In memory of my Jazzie Cat, who went to kitty heaven.

You will not see it moving. I forget what they call it but it's some sort of ultra light that they utilize to slow it down for the human eye to be able to view it or something to that effect. :-)

My Mia has never given me any problems. I charge it regularly, change the brush every 3 or 4 months, use a cotton swab to wipe out the area on the unit beneath the brush where gunk manages to slip in and we are very happy together.

I've had the same problem. CS said to try charging it in a different room for 24 hours. After not working for a week and a half, it took the charge when I did that. If it still does not work, call Clairsonic CS as they will ask you what the unit is doing, noise wise and light wise. (Mine was making the charging sound when you first put the charger on it and the green light was blinking which is what it is supposed to do but it still was not taking a charge so they determined the handle (the brush part of the unit) was not working properly. Depending on which part is the problem, the handle is $60 and the charger is $25. Plus, if you have to get a replacement (the handle), they will give you a $25 coupon good towards your next purchase of $50 or more when you register your Clairsonic with them. Good luck!
