Hello my LCNY fashionistas... What a weekend the Davies family had. The weather was perfect, the church ceremony was inspirational, and the evening was enchanting. I want you to know that I appreciate from bottom of my heart all of your support and beautiful wishes. You gave me strength. My son Larry walked Sarah down the aisle, that was a tough moment. I was introduced at the reception as the hostess of the evening and walked in solo... that was tough. I gave the father of bride speech, toughest moment in a long time. You have been on this journey with me from the beginning. I thought you might like to hear the speech. MBR said I did her proud. Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday. Enjoy the pictures.

TO SARAH FROM MOM AND DAD
Good evening... I want to thank everyone for joining us tonight in celebrating the marriage of Sarah and Bryan. You are sitting here tonight because each and every one of you is very special to our family. It has been a tough road but you have been the wind beneath our wings. I would be remissed in not mentioning the obvious, Sarah's Dad, Bryan's now late father-in-law, my loving husband and to all of you... your guy Larry. He is here tonight. There are 147 present and he is in each of our hearts. So let's raise a glass and toast to our guy Larry... NOW to the good stuff. I promised Sarah no jokes or embarrassing stories so I am going to speak from the heart.
SO... what makes a good marriage? The age old question - what brings two people together on a day like today and the end result is until death do us part. I look out in this room and I see several couples who have exceeded the 25 year anniversary mark and my Mom and Dad still going strong at 58 years. So what is the recipe or more importantly the secret sauce that they all have in common. Larry had a credo that he lived by and our children could recite it in their sleep... share, be nice, and tell the truth. Is it really that simple? I believe it is... SHARE with one another, marriage is about becoming one, not his... hers... or mine... it is now OURS. Sarah and Bryan if you can remember to share whatever it is for the better of the couple you are a third of the way there. BE NICE. Such a simple statement but let me tell you when the pressure meter goes up we snipe at the one we love the most. Talk nice... love nice... share nice... and nice will come back to you triple fold. TELL THE TRUTH... honesty is the best policy... trust and truth go hand and hand - who better to pour your heart out to and share your hopes, dreams, and fears with than the one you pledged to be with for ever and ever. SECRET SAUCE... you bet... So my wish for my darling daughter and my new son-in-law is a lifetime of happiness, may you grow strong together as a couple and remember that LOVE does conquer all.
