Hello everyone!
We know that packaging options have been a topic of discussion in the QVC Community, so we're pleased to introduce our new eco-friendly jewelry packaging pictured above.
Our new jewelry boxes are made from recycled content and are 100% recyclable. The boxes come in a variety of colors as shown above. The new jewelry pouches found inside the boxes are made from 100% recycled plastic bottles and have a soft cotton-like texture. If you receive one of the new jewelry boxes, please join our effort by recycling the new boxes wherever you recycle regular paper. While the pouches can’t be further recycled, you can reuse them for storage or traveling.
We'll launch our new jewelry packaging beginning with your June 27 Gem Day orders. You'll receive this new packaging instead of the typical black velvet packaging. Please note: all of our designer jewelry, like Judith Ripka and RLM for example, will continue to be shipped in designer packaging.
An insert will be included with your jewelry order inviting you to take a survey on our website. In addition, we'd love to hear what you think about our new jewelry packaging on this forum. Please feel free to start sharing your comments with us.

July 1, 2009 - QVC Update: We appreciate all your comments on our new green jewelry packaging. Those who purchased jewelry during Gem Day - we have already started shipping your orders in the new packaging. As we transition from our black velvet packaging over the next couple of months, a portion of your jewelry orders will also be shipped in the new packaging. We look forward to your continued feedback.

But can the designer boxes be eco-freindly without taking away the collectibility factor of keeping the original designer box with the designer's name on it.

Great idea!
I never use any of the original packaging once the jewelry piece goes into my jewelry box, although I have tried to repurpose it.

Thanks, Q - it may not seem like a big deal to some - but the little things that we have ignored over the years are what have gotten us to the state of the environment in which we're in. Appreciate you taking the initiative on this!

Great idea!
Please consider giving a discount to those who would not prefer to receive our designer purchases in the designer boxes.
