Diamond Nexus Labs?

Hi I am new here, Me and my boyfriend wants to get married. He wants to buy me a real diamond and I think it is silly to spend the money on one. I am currently expecting our second child. We have much better things to spend money on then a real diamond.. So anyways I was wondering has anyone bought a ring from Diamond Nexus Labs. They have a lifetime warranty on them as well. There is also more to choose from. I want a white gold setting and I want it to look real. I thought about the Diamonique 1 carat solitare. Anyone have any suggestions?

This is just my opinion, but you really dont want to pay the money for diamond nexus labs. They make it sound like a synthetic diamond, but it really is just cz-but they charge more. There are a few more options. I would not suggest DQ for an engagement ring. I tried it and it looked sorry and tired (cloudy too) in less than a year. Im sure some would disagree, but thats just my opinion. If you go to betterthandiamond.com, there are forums there with a wealth of information on simulants. Interlaps/Winfield's brand are a superior cut cz, and they offer fabulous settings. ASHA brand simulants offered on betterthandiamond.com are actually infused with diamond, thus making it harder and they look wonderful! The other option is moissanite. This is my choice for an engagement ring. It is very hard, and will stay glossy and not cloud like cz. If you go through a reputable vendor, they have some beautiful stones-not the off color ones you hear about. If you decide on moissanite, Bella Jewelry Company is one to look into. Everyone I know has loved their work and the stones are lovely! Plus, they offer layaway for a year! I actually have my engagement ring on layaway myself. I think DQ is wonderful for fun, and having variety. I just think for this very special ring, I would go for something a little better. Just my two cents though! =)

Thank you for answering my q.... Have you ever heard of Briolite? I have also checked out moissonite but everything I have read about them is that they are a greenish color. So I don't think I want to spend that much money on something that is going to look green. I had also checked out the asha. I guess right now I am just trying to figure out what would be the best option.

Honestly, cz is cz. Some can be cut better than others, but it all has the same properties physically. ASHA is diiferent because of the diamond "coating" which gives it more hardness, and I would think more protection. I have also heard all the tales of the green moissanite. I can only vouch for the company I mentioned before. Everyone I know has said the stones from there are white, with a hint a warmness-definately no green. Check out www.freecz.com for the interlaps I mentioned before. They are really inexpensive, so I suppose you could start out with one of those and always replace it if anything happenned. If you go with them, I suggest the CW (chinese white) color. Its the most realistic color there. Oh! I forgot to add that ASHA, Winfield's(freecz.com) and Bella will allow you to preview the stones before buying. You pay up front (I think) and then can return for a full refund if you decide not to go with that stone. That way you could compare to see what you like! I know its hard trying to chose without having it in front of you. ;)

Why don't you go to a reputable local jeweler and find yourself a pretty ring that you like and add a wedding band. My "engagement ring" is a lovely created star sapphire that all the jewelers who see it think is a star ruby. And I grew up in the jewelry business. I added a plain gold band when we got married. Why buy a fake anything when you can get a pretty, real stone for the same money? People with old money don't buy big stones; they get lovely, well made jewelry. And develop a relationship with a good jeweler. You won't get cheated by someone who's been in business in your town for years. The price is never the price -- ask for at least a 20% discount if it's not offered.

The Bravura is a ring from Diamond Nexus labs. Im telling you, those are CZ-not moissanite. The main components of their stones are zirconium, yytrium and oxygen which makes it ordinary old CZ. I'm not saying CZ cant look good-because it can! But a company should not make itself out to be something its not with deceptive advertisements and thus, charge more. At this time, there are only a couple of places who actually make "synthetic diamonds", one only makes colored and the other has made a very small amount and they are very expensive! As far as getting a "fake" stone-moissanite is not "fake". It is a jewel in its own right with its own properties. Its actually a little sparklier than natural diamonds, and can be appreciated for what it has to offer-not for trying to pass as a diamond (although to most it will in a 1 carat size). I hope you find something you really like! Let us know !

Hi there,

My Father is a surgeon and my mother in law has several pieces as well. No one even thinks twice when they see them, knowing she can afford the best.
I have several Diamonique pieces as well.
When anyone comments and I tell them what it really is, they are shocked.
You can always order and if you don't like it, send it back.
I would stick to something smaller.
GOOD LUCK!

Hi cosmetics queen (wish I had coined that for myself). I call ed DN just a little while ago and asked point blank: Are you selling cz"s she danced around and wouldn't give me an answer--so hubby will take care of this as he's an attn'y and is more able to get right to the crux and "gotcha"

I have been to a jewelry stores and have (i addition to wedding set, platinum rings I inherited, various items given over the years, I have a platinum 3 stone sapphire with micro pave on the sides, an estate ruby ring and the most gorgeousgold art deco ring which has a venus profile ,enamelled background and a sprinkling of diamonds.. I tell you this because I have a very wide ranging interest in rings and have no problem wearing czs, I just want to know when I am! :)

Totally my point! People are being fooled into spending more than they should on cz thinking its something more than cz! I think its wonderful your hubby will grill them some more. I think I have been told they carry the same cz as signity. No wonder they have a lifetime warranty-it probably would cost them almost nothing to replace a stone!:O

If I were I would try www.czjewelry.com (Jewelers Direct). They have great quality cz's and a huge selection. They are more expensive than DMQ but well worth it. I now have several pieces from them and am considering getting my engagement ring from them (again). Good luck in your search!
