Any suggestions? I wear Mineral makeup so I need a brush that is soft. I do not like BE brushes. Didn't mally have a set of brushes with the pink handles at one time? Nothing shoes up online everything is individual. Does anyone have the item number? Thanks!

You should check on the smashbox brushes; the quality is good. Also I have some Mally brushes that I like but I haven't used them enough to see if they hold up. I personally have been very happy with the BE brushes, especially the handi-buki.

Check this out! http:/<wbr />/<wbr />www.<wbr />adesignbrushes.<wbr />com/<wbr />products/<wbr />bags-sets.<wbr />html#masterset A Design brushes are really great quality and their master set is still on sale. I posted about this a few weeks ago and the company was flooded with orders. I think they must be back in stock or still have stock because their master brush set is still on sale for the amazing price of $99.00. It's normally $250.00!!! You probably haven't heard about this line but they are a pro quality line that private labels for many other dept. store brands. Check out the reviews for their brushes on their website by pro makeup artists. I got a few of their brushes a year ago at the makeup artist's trade show and picked up some of their new designs a couple of months ago. I love them all! They are amazing and the $99.00 price is phenomenal. I have literally over 300 brushes, about 200 which are very high quality and my ABrushes are amongst my very favorite. This sale won't last long in fact i'm really surprised it has lasted as long as it has. Get them while you can! Tiffany

For mineral eye and cheek products they are fantastic but for mineral foundations it depends on the brand and the coverage that you want. In my experience some mineral brands work best with flocked sponges while others work great with kabukis if you want/need more coverage. The fluffier face brushes like the ones that come in the master set may work with some types of foundation to give a lighter, less coverage look. The master set doesn't come with a kabuki but ADesign makes a great kabuki set that comes with just about every type of possible kabuki brush including a really cool angled one. ADesign's parent company Anisa Int'l makes brushes for Kevyn Aucoin (the current ones), Smashbox, Trish McEvoy and many more that I can't remember right now. http:/<wbr />/<wbr />anisa.<wbr />com/<wbr />products/<wbr />new.<wbr />html Tiffany -- Edited by tiffhlee at 09/05/2007 9:52 AM

This was mentioned in another post: H00351 Mark V 11-piece Deluxe Beauty Kit with Travel Pouch It looks fabulous! i saw it presented in the wee hours of the morning a long time ago. I loved the look, but showed remarkable restraint for one w/sleep deprivation as an excuse! It has 14 5-star reviews. I may just own it as soon as QVC processes and delivers an order. (Which based on the Smashbox TSV delivery times may mean a month or so!! LOL!!!) Anyway, several of the reviewers state they use BE or other minerals. Reasonably priced at under $30, too!

Wow, hard to believe they could be good for that price but the review are raves! I'm tempted to buy one of these sets too. I bought two of the A Design brush sets when Tiffany posted that link awhile back; guess my order got caught in the "flood" because I'm still waiiting for them. Meanwhile these cheapie ones look good. And I can certainly recommend at least one Smashbox brush, the one that comes with the Fusion A73635, http:/<wbr />/<wbr />www.<wbr />qvc.<wbr />com/<wbr />qic/<wbr />qvcapp.<wbr />aspx?<wbr />app=<wbr />detail¶ms=<wbr />item^A73635,RecTypeInd^EPIPHANY,navlist^A73635*A9757*A5060*,cp^detail,tmp^related,cpprod^A16944,cm_scid^dtlr&walk=<wbr />&cmtags=<wbr /> That brush is so soft and it's HUGE too. Can't tell from the pic but unless you've got gigantic elephantine cheeks you won't need a brush this big to dust on your Fusion! I wear mineral makeup too and am always looking for brushes other than BE's. Altho I'm new to both mineral makeup and using brushes (a few months now) I can really tell the difference when I use a brush other than BE's. Almost anyone's brushes are softer than theirs! what is up with that?!

Hi Gurl you got 'em too? Can't wait to get mine. I'm really tempted to get those cheapie ones from QVC, too. Can always return if they aren't as soft as I want. That was the problem with BE's brushes: at first they feel fine but as I started using daily, it started killing my face!

Tiffhlee What are the Adesign brushes made of .............. they sure look nice. I am a connoisseur of good makeup brushes myself but think you surely have me beat at 300 brushes. I have invested in some fabulous ones over the years, viewing them as an investment that would last, and the good ones certainly have. Stila and Shumera are some of my best .......... like my Chanel, Prescriptives and SB too. Do you really think this set is worth it? It's a great price for all those brushes especially since it contains so many face brushes (powder, blush, bronzer) Many times you can find brush sets that only have one really big face brush and then all the little ones .............. Let me know what you know about the line as I am very interested myself ........... have to admit that brushes have always been my weakness because without great brushes, the best makeup in the world won't do much good. Thanks, wackers -- Edited by wackers at 09/05/2007 2:08 PM

Sephora ranks pretty high in surveys for their brushes and while they aren't dirt cheap, they are a fraction of the price of comparables in the high end makeup lines. Just saw one of their brushes came in #1 in their latest reader's choice award ...............
