Triclosan in Deordorant Soap

I read somewhere that the active ingredient, triclosan (sp?) in deordorant soap is banned and has to be out of all soaps by 2014. Its bad for the environment and using it causes bacteria to become resistant.

Is this true? Does anyone have a suggestion for a good soap that would keep away B.O. like Safeguard or Dial does now?
