My son is 60 now. What I remember he said he was helping carry something with another guy and then this guy couldn't hold it any longer and it went to my son. He worked for the LA city.

I can only tell you I know a couple of people who have had it and they have said that out of hip surgery, knee surgery, and shoulder surgery, the shoulder was by far and away the most painful.  I said a prayer for your son and pray he will find relief soon.
