I need a scar creme. My aweful bout of eczema is prettymuch healed but my skin is scarred. It covers a large area. The scar area is too large to make mederma affordable. It was like $28 for a small tube. Any ideas? I really do not want to use a perscription creme unless there is no othr choices. My copays are high

I would suggest you go to your pharmacy and show the pharmacist the area you need to cover and tell them your financial situation and see what they recommend. I've found pharmacists can be a huge help. Wish you all the best.
I had to get a tube of mederma 6 years ago. It was $20 then and worth every penny, but I certainly understand financial constraints.

I used CVS's scar cream and it worked well.

Mederma was the recommended treatment for my scar after knee replacement. I bought the CVS brand and also used Vitamin E oil. My scar is very light and looks good.
