Re: Germophobes, Take Note: Liquid Soap Beats Foam Soap

I just happen not to like foam soap, which happens to be the soap at my campus. But I don't like that soap more for the smell than for its leaving my hands feeling dry & stripped.

So, I carry my own container of Dr. Bronner's!

Foam soap seems like a waste of money anyway.  A large percentage of it is just water, then the dispenser adds air.  So it's not a surprise to me that it's not as effective at ridding your hands of germs.

"6 seconds"?? Not NEARLY long enough. I keep the suds, no matter what they're from, on MY HANDS a LOT LONGER than that!

Foam soap is used in hospitals in the rest rooms & patient rooms, I guess they didn't get the memo.

I have only had 1 bottle of foam soap & that's because one was sent to me by mistake when I ordered some liquid hand soap. I don't care for it.

Sing the "Happy Birthday" song TWICE while you wash your hands with soap and that's how long you need to properly cleanse your hands.
