@qvc chick@never had one but I had an extremely painful soft corn in between my toes.I put manuka honey on it each night and boy did it hurt...just when I was about to give up it started peeling and was gone...I get the honey at TJs and use it for many health problems.

Surgery might be your only option here considering you are having pain, even if the pain is sporadic.

 

I had one on my thumb that was only slightly painful, but it was growing, so I had surgery.  The doctor told me I'd be in a lot of pain afterward, and he was right.  However, I had pain meds and the pain only lasted for a week-end.  Had the surgery on a Friday and was back to work on Monday.  Mine never returned.  

 

I would think it would be both painful and annoying having one on the toe, what with wearing shoes and all.  

 

As you said, they're not harmful so I suppose you could live with it, but if it becomes too painful I'd go ahead and have it removed.  Good luck with whatever you choose @qvc chick.
