I check out this thread on a casino and lately have become very concerned about advice being dispensed here.

Please check out Quackwatch.com for names of specialists recommended here. There is a very long list . You can click on a name and see what actions have been taken against them.

i worry about those who come here seeking medical advice by lay people.

Actually it is owned by a retired psychiatrist who is a medical consumer specialist., Stephen Barrett.

May I ask what a casino has to do with it and what thread?

@Annabellethecat66  I think she is trying to warn people about some unethical Drs in a  list that another Dr compiled to protect the public

She has posted his name. I wonder if he knows his stuff. ?

If you are referring to the Dr. Klinghardt on the lyme disease "end stage" thread,

it would be nice to just say so but you are right.

I would hope that everyone would check out any doctor before being relieved of not their illness but their money.

You just put in reviews of Dr. Klinghardt (or any doctor recommended) and many legitimate websites have patient reviews.

He has been shown by many to be a total scam in which you can only get well by buying his expensive "biopure" and then don't get well anyway.

If someone has had no luck with many doctors they may be desperate for someone to listen or with promises to cure them. But that shouldn't make research or common sense go out the window, hopefully.

I don't know what casinos have to do with anything either. Maybe a typo?

Op, I think your intentions are good but I think its more helpful to give specifics if you are trying to point someone or something out. otherwise, it just becomes a guessing game.

And Quackwatch is a well known site. As well known as Scopes.

Clearly, OP meant to write "on occasion".
