I think I may have this - after waiting 2 weeks to go into the doctors office (thinking it would get better) I did get in today and she did some lab tests just to rule out like gout etc. Won't get the results back til next week. She sais it sounded like I have bursitis. Let me tell you - it is very, very painful. It is like a constant pain and she did not give me anything - just told me Ibuprofen is fine to take, ice it and rest. I'm just wondering if I will need to get a cortisone shot. I did have a cortisone shot in my other knee in 2010 - but I'm not sure if this is the same issue yet or not yet. Anyone have any remedies (for at home) to try to help with the pain?? TIA.
