Re: Question about Light Finishing Spray ingredients

Egads ... was so excited to order...didn't look first at comments about the 'light' finishing spray scent. I cannot do certain scents and if this spray has a lilac smell, crikey, I will not be able to use it. I was just hoping for something w/ a bit sturdier of a hold than the finishing treatment.

My nieces may be getting some Wen from their auntie.

Re: Question about Light Finishing Spray ingredients

@HSB1204 Thanks for mentioning the Light is rice  based-either I hadn't ever known that or I did and I forgot. Yet another reason I won't be trying it. I'd love if he made a rice based with a lot of moisturizing ingredients like the 4 honey complex. That might work better for my hair maybe?

@HappyDaze  Yeah, there's definitely something in the rice protein formulas that my hair isn't a fan of. I love the BGT scent but I can only use it once in a while or else my hair turns just as dry and crispy as when I use 613. It would be nice if he was able to add something super moisturizing to a rice protein formula.

@HSB1204 BGT is one of my favoite scents! I soooo wish I could use it because of the scent but, like you, it and 613 makes my hair dry and crispy. I am not really a fan of the 613 scent though so not really sad about not being able to use it. But yeah, BGT and SHL are my favorite two all-time wen scents. Smiley Happy

@HappyDaze  It's no loss for me either that my hair doesn't like 613. The scent is a bit too strong for me so I'll stick to 319. Cat Happy

By the way, I bought that honey and orange blossom shampoo bar. I got an e-mail from their website saying they missed me and offered me a 25% discount. Of course, that only just about covered their insane shipping charges! I still have to try it, though. Cat Happy

oh wow that is a good deal- I think I got one of those awhile back too but yeah with the s/h just couldn't do it! In this day and age, their s/h is absolutely insane. Don't they at least have a deal with one of the shipping companies for better deals? No one charges s/h based on weight or $$ amount spent anymore!

Here is a suggestion for the bar (if you need one? Smiley Happy ) - soap it up in your hands first then apply to your scalp using your fingertips and gently massage- I soap up in my hand twice- once for the top part of my scalp and another for the lower half of my scalp (have to lift up my hair to get to it good. Then I let the rest of it just drip down to the ends but I always still use WEN for midshaft down. Some just use the bar directly on the hair but I find that I don't get as good of results when I do that. Good luck! Smiley Happy

@HappyDaze  I have no idea how they can justify charging that much for shipping. I was going to try their raspberry rhubarb jam but almost fell out of my chair when I saw how much it was going to be so I decided to just stick with the shampoo bar!

Thank you for the tip! It probably makes more sense to do it that way. The last time I tried a shampoo bar I did use it directly on the hair but didn't really feel like it went where it was supposed to so I think it'll be easier to do it the way you described. Cat Happy

It is part of the restorative iine, so it makes sense that it's also rice based like the others in that line. I don't know what the difference is between the 4 honey complex and the Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey in the Light CC. I really like the scent of the Light EDP.

Re: Question about Light Finishing Spray ingredients

@jaxs mom, here's the answer from Chaz's customer service following my inquiry last week about 4 honey complex vs Honeyquat:

Thank you for contacting us.
The Summer Honey Peach contains a honey complex, which is a blend of honey extracts which includes: Manuka Honey Extract, Eucalyptus Honey Extract, Orange Blossom Honey Extract and Sage Honey Extract. The hydroxypropyltrimonium honey is a honey derivative that is used in addition to the honey complex.
Sincerely,

Still want to find out about that "..in addition to..."
Do some products contain both?

The only one I know of that contains both is the SHP CC.
