Spent some time at the perfume counter today and have been sniffing the Jimmy Choo I spritzed on my arms.  Am seriously considering goi g with this one for the wintertime.

I used Channel #5 for years, my DH loved it, I wore nothing else.  After I lost him I could not wear it anymore, made me too sad.

Now I wear Tresor', I like to have a signiture scent.

My fave is Coco Chanel Mademoiselle... got a sample, loved it & finally sprung for the parfum. The parfum is better than the toilette.

It sounds like you enjoy heavier stuff so my recommendation probably won't mean much.

But being somebody who is asthmatic and is completely turned off by anything heavy, floral, or musky, I find that I really enjoy L'Occitane Verbena.  It is light and fresh.  It smells like fresh lemon zest.

Clearly, that would not appeal to everybody so I get that.     But I just love the lightness and freshness of it.

@SuzieQue, if you like orientals then you may like Shalimar and Obsession (I wear both of them). -- Shalimar is a the stronger and more powerful of the two, which makes Obsession a wider range of times to wear it.
