What is the reason you changed the damper to the side vs on top?

Just purchased Masterbuilt Smoker model#20072614, QVC item #K40410, exactly 1 month ago. Can the new wheeled stand be used with this model, which has wheels and handle, and is also a 4 rack digital smoker, almost identical to today's TSV?
