What is your favorite episode of the Andy Griffith show?

I love:

"Man in a Hurry"

and the one where Barney finds an "Alladin's lamp" and holds seances with Goober and Floyd

I'm not sure about 'favorite', as my memory is so horrible now.  But one episode that really gets me, that came to mind first, was the one where Opie accidentally killed a bird.   That was just a heart-wrenching thing all around and handled really well.

Gosh, too many to list here.  Mostly the ones featuring Barney's escapades.  Don Knotts really had that character nailed.

Opie the Birdman has to be pretty close to the top of my list.  Especially like the closing lines of dialogue:

Opie:  The birdcage sure seems empty.

Andy: Yeah, but don't the trees sound full?

When Barney sees Helen and Andy kiss in the jewelry store and mistakenly assumes they are engaged to be married.  "Does Opie know about H and A?"

The one where Barney and Andy fix Goober up with sad sack Lydia.  Also the one where Barney buys a car from Mrs. Lesh.  "How are you feelin' Gomer?  Sick as a dog but havin' the time of my life."
