To Walk Invisible: The BrontëSisters on PBS.

I am actually not a fan of the books written by these sisters,

but I do want to see this one-shot show this coming Sunday.

I love "Jane Eyre" and am anxious to see the show.

I love Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights and am looking forward to this show.  Someday I hope to read the one by Anne.

Re: To Walk Invisible: The BrontëSisters on PBS.

@smoky22, this movie should be interesting.

I haven't read the 2 books written by Anne either - Agnes Grey or The Tenent of Wildfell Hall.  I also haven't read the volume of poems that she penned with her two sisters - Poems by Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell (each one used a masculine pen name, but kept the initial of their first name)

~

I plan to read them during our library's Summer Reading Program (# of books or # of hours for a cause) & add on: Read for a Cause (extra # of books or extra # of hours, usually for an animal cause).

~

Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks for the heads up, @mollybgood

Our mom made sure that we were raised on Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre, etc. The more tragic, the better!

Our mom was what I'd call a "highly romanticized" woman. LOL!

In all honesty, I think books like the Bronte's screwed me up, because I'm probably more like my mom than I realized.

They appeal to that vulnerable side of you, and make 'men with broken wings' seem appealing. Haha!

Anyways, TY for letting us know, @mollybgood! I'll be watching. Smiley LOL

Plus, it has James Norton (Grantchester) in it!  He's must see TV for me.

@mzlg  what a great post!  Yes, I knew Anne wrote two books.  I just looked them up at Amazon, and while Agnes Grey is better known (I think), The Tenent of Wildfell Hall has slightly better reviews.  I'm really psyched for the PBS show.
