Niagara, with Marilyn Monroe

I'm looking at her differently now. Haven't seen many of her films. This isn't a song and dance one. It's in color too.

Anyone else?

I so miss watching the old classics - I prefer them to the junk that's on TV today, but I only have basic channels so I can't watch - she was just beautiful - I don't think Marilyn got enough credit for her talent.

Re: Niagara, with Marilyn Monroe

I LOVE that movie and enjoyed Marilyn singing that song "Kiss". Also love the dialogue:

[Upon seeing Rose Loomis in a low-cut, tight-fitting red dress]

Ray Cutler: Hey, get out the firehose!

[to Polly]

Ray Cutler: Why don't you ever get a dress like that?

Polly Cutler: Listen. For a dress like that, you've got to start laying plans when you're about thirteen.

This was one of her first serious acting movies. She was fresh out of acting school when she made this onel. Everyone said she couldn't act and was just a body with a pretty face. She went to acting classes because she wanted to prove them wrong.

She did good in this movie.
