Dean Martin, Paul Anka, Vic Dana, Pat Boone, Wayne Newton,

Andy Williams, Bobby Vinton, Mitch Miller singers. I don't have a song playing in my head today 🎼 (yet)!

QualityGal, I love vintage pop culture. In addition to those people already mentioned, I wonder if a young ballad singer of the 60's, Jack Jones, also sang it. For some reason I can picture him singing it-- but maybe just because he was the type who would sing it!

Jack Jones was I think the son of a Forties actor possibly named Allen Jones? He was almost swooningly good looking but had an understated, polished singing style...
