Am I just dreaming or did I see an ad on TV that Masterpiece is bringing a series based on the book War Brides. I read the book and it was excellant. I would look forward to the TV series.

Sounds like a good show coming on here in an hr. called 'The Widower'. I've been on the PBS website and wish I knew when Season 2 of 'Cromwell' begins. Can't find anything about it.

I just finished watching a new show on PBS. called, Home Fires . It's about a small town in

England in 1939, and how they are preparing for the war to come. The characters are

interesting, and I'm looking forward to next week !

re: Wolf Hall; the BBC hasn't commissioned season two because Hilary Mantel's book isn't finished. I can't even find a projected release date for the book, provisionally titled, The Mirror and the Light.

I follow a blog about TV on both sides of the pond, nothing about WarBrides, could you be thinking of HomeFires?

There was also a good series called LandGirls that is worth watching

I find that it's very hard to find anything on their site and then you have to put in your local station and on and on. I am subscribed to their newsletter, and haven't seen anything yet.
