So last night I was laying in bed and I've often voiced how much I HATE those Viagra adds.  Well this was one and it said you could even buy it in individual packages!  What the Heck?  This is supposed to be medicine and they are making it out to be like a breath mint!  Just makes me sick.

Then I see on TV on the Sunday morning show a full segment about this subject and how men are suing some business because they are selling some that aren't effective bla bla!

An entire segment!  Every time I think women are moving more toward equality (you know like I told Greta Van Sustern on FOX news), "As a widow, if I have to sit through these Viagra and Ciallis commercials over and over, why don't the men have to sit through Depends, Premarin, creams and lotions to help females, medicine for painful periods, etc just for females.  It's not like I LOVE these subjects because I've moved on from them (69) I just am sick of seeing things about men who can't perform (who cares).  When you become a widow or widower or have a sick partner and the closest you can get to each other (if they're alive) is hold their hands or maybe a kiss, you realize the physical aspects are wonderful, but there's a lot more left.

Just make things equal in society, that's all I ask.  Oh! Oh!  Now I'm wound up!  Caitlin needs to experience the pain we go through most months.  She needs to know the joy of a yeast infection.  She needs to know what it's like to try to lose the weight after having a baby or just simply being female when you feel like you're judged because you are an overweight female, men get the size of a house and little is said.

I'm going to shut up now.  I'm just saying put some of these commercials out there about what men go through other than if they can't perform.  There are other problems more important in life.  I'm sure men have medical issues, but we don't hear about them.

My brother has been plagued with kidney stones.  Women get them but I understand they are especially painful for males and are more likely to get them.  My middle daughter has had kidney stones and I asked her the age old question:  "Which hurts worse?  Having a baby or kidney stones?"  She said, "Don't get angry mom, but I think kidney stones are worse".  Ha!  Of course she spent 31 days in the hospital 9 months pregnant with large kidney stones at the same time!  How's that for being a strong females!

HOORAH! (as the Marines say).

Some nice person just gave me a heart for the above post!  Wow!  I was wound up.

To all of my friends here I say thank you for putting up with all of my bla blas.  I do go on and on!  I could never do that if you guys didn't put up with me.

For those who read all or even parts of my rants I say, "Bless you because they even bore me".  For those of you who skip over them, "Bless you too, but I totally understand".

Oh I forgot about this Ad until now as I saw it today. I DETEST the TV ad for Life Alert !!! ALL of them. The naked old lady who fell in the bathtub, the lady on the floor  with that pathetic look mouthing the words Helllllllllp Meeeeeeeeeeeee! LOL The lady who fell saying "I've fallen and I cant get up" in that ole lady voice...LOL The TV Ad makes women look stupid, clumsy, helpless and dependent as they get older which is NOT very true. The ad preys on fear factor and women being fragile to get sales. Why not have an old man who fell off his toilet? OH I HATE that ad. LOL

I cannot tolerate the commercials for MY Pillow. They seem to overtake some of the channels. I'm surprised that noone has mentioned them.

I DVR some shows on MeTV  that are on late at night like Columbo and McCloud and i sure notice annoying drug company ads. Just to see how much one drug company's meds cost, I googled it and it was about $5000 a month for some drug to treat lung cancer. What the heck are these unscrupulous pharma companies doing advertising on U.S. Tv stations?

Well, personally, I am sick of the Viagra  ad  that is broadcasted very night around 6 AND 9. It is kinda like a "Hello honey... Do you want to have sex reminder", like anyone needs to be reminded... Totally tacky. Let the men go to the doctor and deal with it there.

I have not read this long entire thread but all I needed to make me crack up and make my Saturday start off on a grand scale was to read your thread above.  Trust me, this is not the first thing on many of our minds but I certain some women still have a headache when they need a break.  Thanks for the laugh and I agree it should NEVER be on Primetime TV.

How about the commercial for the insurance company (don't recall the name), that shows you part of the storyline, then wants you to go on the website to see what happens. Like I have the time or the interest to do that.
