We watch David Muir for our evening news.  No particular reason.  I grew up with CBS and Walter Cronkite.

National;  Hands down:  Lester Holt

Also loved Tim Russert!  Another anchor "gone to soon" was Harold Dow (CBS and 48 hours mystery correspondent)
