I should've googled this first, but... I remember hearing she is from Spain.  And the king of Spain had a lisp, so the people also spoke in a lisp--I guess to honor him?

I was born in 1950 and I KNOW she is older than I am.  She was cuchi-cooing on talk shows when I was in school. 

I couldn't stand her back then and last night she was more irritating than ever.

@Lucky Charm  People from Spain often sound like they have a lisp.  The "th" sound that is prevalent in Spanish pronunciations in Spain,  is not the same pronunciation we tend to hear in Central and South America.  It is used when pronouncing "c" in front of an "e" or "i", and when pronouncing "z."
