Summer Olympics'Parade of Nations-Extraordinary!

The Parade of Nations is so joyful, heartwarming, and inspiring.  The multiplicity of nations, cultures, languages, races, nationalities, religions (and not), and all manner of differences make me hopeful.

I was happy to see Rafa Nadal (tennis) carrying the flag for Spain.

I agree.  I don't watch any of the summer olympic sports as I am more of a Winter Olympics fan, but I still watch the opening and closing ceremonies and follow the medal counts.

The joy on their faces as they walk in is refreshing to see.  They literally are just happy to be there.

Re: Summer Olympics'Parade of Nations-Extraordinary!

I haven't seen the opening of the games, I have it taped. However, I think the coverage is horrific! Unless I'm missing it, I have no idea ahead of time what is going to be on and when! They used to tease it earlier in week, "Wednesday Team USA will defend for the Gold in Men's Hockey" e.g. Plus, they aren't showing any of Rio and very little background on athletes! I'd like to know about all athletes who could medal, even if they aren't ours!

Never underestimate the power of kindness.
