I haven't tried it, but it's easier & cheaper to buy activated charcoal at the pet store (used in aquarium filters) & put that in the toes of old socks placed in my shoes. Also put it in an open container in the refrigerator, instead of a box of baking soda. Absorbs odors quite well.
