@misschristy wrote:They just look like Mary Jane sneakers to me. They have a lift to them. I don't understand the big deal being made here. I'm not a Mary Jane person, but I don't think they are the ugliest shoes I've ever seen. I've seen plenty worse. I don't like to ridicule something on a thread where someone might have purchased the item. I expected something really horrible from the posts.
You are a much-needed breath of fresh air, @misschristy.
Whatever happened to a simple "It's not my style, but I hope others enjoy it"?

These are ugly, no matter how you look at them. I think the problem with the toe area is that it's too big. I think standing forward like that will slide the toe forward.

Actually, with the platform, I don't think there's much 'lift', so I don't think your foot would slide forward, unless you're wearing the wrong size, of course.
I have watched only the opening presentation, but the models looked very 'flat-footed' to me. It looked like the guest really had to apply some pressure to get the shoe to flex.
Would love to read some reviews once people have received and worn their shoes. I think they look cuter on the foot, than off.

No great loss here. Not only are they trying to sell ugly shoes, they promote how great it is that they offer wide. Seriously, let's start accommodating those of us with narrow feet too. They never offer them.

The majority of QVC viewers need wide. For many reasons. Age, inherited bunions, etc. More so then medium, I think. Yes, they should offer narrow but it costs more for the shoe companies to make them. Being that the narrow widths are in the minority. Outside QVC, even wide is not encountered very often.

I need narrower shoes, and Clarks sometimes run wide even in medium width. I didn't think these were ugly, but I am from the "Comfortable Shoes Are Fashionable Because I Hate Bunions" school of design. So I thought they looked casual and cute. You know, like a pug dog. Or Grumpy Cat.
I even had to order my size 10's on waitlist because the yellow was either way popular or they simply didn't order many (it's not the most wanted color.)
I hope they send them. Usually, shoes come back in returns, so I imagine I will get them. BTW: I do not have bunions like Sister and Mom because I have worn fugly shoes for years. While I love the look of Jimmy Choo, I can't even imagine walking in them. But my feet don't hurt.

Why do you say the majority of viewers need wide? I read just as many posts asking for narrows. I'd bet the majority of viewers wear medium or average width.

I really like many Clarks shoes (just got a great pair of black Mary Janes with tan straps!)... But what is with all the Velcro on the QVC-only shoes? It really messes up the lines of otherwise-nice looking shoes. Is a buckle really that much more $$? Something I've been thinking about as I see shoes I like...except for the clunky Velcro closures.

I think Clarks has come a long way in showing more fashionable shoes. I still have a few pair from many years ago. Just can't kill them, but the selection is so much better, and I enjoy Amy.
