Reading Pa Outlet help

DH and I will be traveling through the Reading Pa area next weekend. We want to stop at the outlets..but have never been there. Is there anyone here who has stayed there, or lives in that general area who can suggst good places to stay for a few nights..best hotels, near the outlet mall( of course the outlets with D and B). Will be doing some Christmas shopping, and some R and R..... and whatever else might be in that area to see? What are your favorite outlet stores there?

We have been looking online but first hand experience is always better than what the web can offer.
