Neutral color handbags

I've been getting lots of ads, from high end department stores and from Dooney, pushing neutral colored handbags for spring and summer. I don't have anything against neutral colors, but I love more colorful handbags. What do you all think?

Now that we have accumulated all the purples/lilacs/lavenders, blue/teal/turquoise, pink/magenta/fuscia, green/grass/lime, yellows of every shade, orange/tangerine/burnt orange, not to mention reds, wines, etc..... are these all going out of fashion? Wasn't color supposed to be the new neutral?
