Found LV handbag in thrift shop how can i tell its not a knock off?

In thrift shop found a LV small rectangle purse for 4 dollars, it had original brown print on front, tan leather handle stamped LV on end made in France, inside small pocket zipper I side was light tan like shami material it had leather square sewn inside said LV made in France over small zipper pocket inside, leather handle is removable with clip on each side. I have coach, dooney and Versace handbags just no LV thanks for help!
