Embossing On Front of Dooney Bag

I don't like this. I think it cheapens the bag. I prefer the old logo that is square and done in metal. I think this was done to save $$$

Is it in raised letters or just stamped? I can't tell. If the letters are raised I would be worried about one coming off. I do actually like the bag but I think I may go with a logo lock.

I don't agree with this statement. I think the letters look stylish and elegant on this specific bag. I don't imagine where the old logo would go to make it look pretty with that turn lock closure.

ITA. I believe it's metal lettering...unfortunately, there's a greater than zero chance they will fall off over a period of years. Your fancy 'designer' bag will eventually sport:

I choose to think these letters will hold for years just as the Dooney bags. I like the new style.

It looks like it is done the same way as on some of the newer Michael Kors Saffiano handbags. I decided to take a chance and get the taupe as it was on the brink of selling out. Seeing that same logo type on the MK bags made me feel better about it.
