E/W Slouch detail question

I recently purchase an E/W slouch on ebay in the cool grey/pink shadow combination that I find I love (was begging DD for the one I gave her!). It's beautiful and true to Dooney in every detail, except maybe one; it has a nylon zipper instead of a brass/metal one. does anyone else have this? I'm only slightly curious, and because I love this combo, it was a great deal, and wresting a bag I love from my arms would result in grave injury{#emotions_dlg.scared}, I'm not going to go to the extent of sending it off for verification.
