Cleaning Dooney Nylon Bags---Suggestions please?

I have a khaki nylon bag. I love it but it is getting a bit dingy with a few little stains. I have tried cleaning it with just distilled water and it didn't really do anything. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Re: Cleaning Dooney Nylon Bags---Suggestions please?

I have a dooney, nylon giraffe, the snap tab closure, with leather bottom. So far, I haven't needed to clean it. I'm considering testing an area with Folex instant carpet spot remover. I use it on a beige carpet without any rings, etc. I did recently use it on a very heavy denier nylon black, rolling briefcase. It was a mess. There was no fading nor any dye transfer on the cloth I used. I really like this spot remover because it does not suds up and does not require any rinsing. I have also used it on furniture and cotton t shirts with great results. Stain removed, no damage to color or fabric.

Take it to a reputable shoe repair shop and ask them what they recommend.
