Birkenstock Toe Loop sandals

When the weather is terribly hot, my whole body seems to perspire (TMI, I know) but I realized this year just after I began to wear my summer shoes that the toe loop styles are much more comfortable than my other sandals. I think it's because they are totally stable on my foot, and I guess that's especially important to me. My Orthos and double strap Birks don't prevent lateral slide as much as my foot seems to need, but this style does. Has anyone else noticed this?
