I know there are sooo many different combinations..just wondering what everyone likes! Please post which ones you enjoy.
Bumpy Meatballs
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup long grain rice..NOT instant
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1/4 cup milk
paprika
Soak onion in 1 tablespoon water for 5 minutes. Mix together ground beef, rice, 1/4 cup water, soaked onions, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Shape into balls about the size of a golf ball (will make about 20 meatballs). Brown meat balls in skillet. Remove meatballs from skillet and place in an ungreased casserole dish. Mix together the cheese soup and milk til smooth. Pour over the meatballs. Sprinkle paprika over the top. Bake at 350* for about an hour and 10 minutes..or til the rice tests done. Serves 4.
Meatballs Hawaiian
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks..drain and reserve juice
1 egg
1 pound ground beef
2 slices bread...crumbled
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
2 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice
Mix all ingredients together and form meatballs. place in casserole dish and bake 30 minutes (or til meat is done) at 350* Drain.
Make sauce:
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 uup catsup
1/3 cup pineapple juice
Mix together and pour over the cooked meatballs Put meatballs back in the oven and bake 10 minutes longer or til sauce is hot.
