Strawberry Cake

We used to get this strawberry cake from a bakery in the area (Harrisburg, PA) and I'm trying to make one like it. Can't seem to get it right. It had two layers of yellow cake with strawberries and some sort of jelly substance in between the layers and also on top with more sliced strawberries for garnish. It was delicious. Anyone have any good strawberry cake recipes they would share? Thanks.
