@LTT1  I love that jalapeno jelly and cream cheese combo too, and I don't like HOT peppers in other food.

What a fun thread this is!

Ever since I was very young, I like to have another slice of meat (especially fresh pork ham) with my dessert.  I recently met a lady from church (in her 80's) who does this too -- a first.

Corn tortilla chips and homemade salsa (spicy)

sliced turkey/dressing/cranberry sauce  on sourdough (sandwich)

Dill pickles with liverwurst and mustard on rye (sandwich)

homemade popcorn with lots of real butter

Spicy thick chili with Fritos scoops!

Vanilla ice cream with chopped salted peanuts or Grape nuts cereal stirred in.

That's a comfort food for me.   Homeade soup is even better.  Mine are mostly already posted, a couple more:

Macaroni & Cheese with hot links

Mashed potatoes and gravy must be served with corn

We have grilled cheeses on sourdough with chili

I have to have blue cheese dressing with hot wings, hubby has to have ranch.

My entire family would prefer corn with mashed potatoes than gravy and mashed potatoes-thought we were the only odd ones in this category!  Thanks for sharing!
