My DIL, reared in Calif uses a lot of Texas Pete.  When our grandsons, 11 and 6 come over they want hot sauce on their scrambled eggs but not generally on other things.

Ranch Dressing.

It's not a condiment on the kitchen table every night, but if it's out I will dip jjst about anything in it.  Chips, pretzels, burgers, fries, sandwiches.

I could eat it with a spoon!

I do too.  I love fresh ground pepper, especially the smell of it.  No added salt, just pepper.

@GSPgirl my mom was a fabulous cook so I never, ever witnessed this growing up and was surprised when I saw folks doing this when I expanded my horizons . . . I was like, what are you doing, you didn't even taste it? . . .
