@walker I think this recipe may have appeared in Chicagoland papers as it is a version of a much loved dish served at a very much loved restaurant chain (Steak and Ale) that closed a while ago.  These mushrooms are delicious and very easy to make and reheat beautifully.  Highly recommend!

The only way I could eat those mushrooms is if I drank the whole bottle of cabernet first.   Cannot eat a mushroom in any form, ever.  So, more for those of you who like them.  Enjoy.

mtc, I did not know that recipe was used at Steak and Ale too. 

 

Bridgegal, I am sure you are not alone.  But, those that do like mushrooms will enjoy them.....and more wine too!

These would be terrific with that cold oven eye of round roast!!!!!
