Come on those petite styles especially today's coat swim on the shorter girls.  This is the number one reason I shop at Macy's......peptite galore.

Yep, I got burned on a sweater coat...even though it came in "petites" they did not have a petite model in the show, but the designer insisted the petite version was sized correctly and it would be perfect and not overwhelming for a petite......So I bought it and it came down to my ankles....I will NEVER AGAIN buy coats or tunics or long sweaters from QVC.....

@mariadomenicaFor clothes I'm about 99% a local shopper and there's a large Macy's maybe a 2 minute drive from my Florida condo.  I didn't find much there when I was a 1X and now that I'm an 8-10 petite, that's still true.   I'll check them out online when I can no longer shop clothes locally.

Good thing I can live a huge percentage of my life in capris and ankle pants.and that hardly ever does anyone but me care what I wear.

That's why I can't buy most of the tops QVC sells.  Quacker, Linea, Graver, etc. are all too long for me.  When they sell petites, the tops come down to my upper leg.  Everything now is long so it covers your bum.  I don't want that.  And Louis doesn't even have petite models.  Everything Joan Rivers is too long for me also.  I won't buy any petites unless it comes to the middle of the model's stomach.  Then I know it will come just below mine.  By the way I'm 5' 2".  I'm like Jean Bice, "short not petite" .  I'm apple shaped.

I've even talked to customer service.  I can't believe that, with all of us petites out there, it wouldn't be profitable for them to carry petites, at least in TSV's and more popular styles. I suggestd they do a few petites, to teste the wates.

  Even if I check the "click here" dimensions, they're wrong, and all the tops are too long.  It wasn't always this way.  But now I vow not to be tempted to buy any more tops.  I hope I'm not tempted, only have to return yet another item..

BTW, I agree that Macy's seems to be the only B and M store still to carry many petites.  Bloomingdales used to, but no longer.  Anthropologie and Chico's, only on line.

I totally agree.   Might as well forget asking for petites.....they don't seem to want to hear that.   I also shop at Macy's.  Not only do they have a lot of petite sizes, .they have excellent sale prices.

@sensibleshoppingsoothes

Check out Talbots.  If you don't have a store nearby go online.  They carry almost everything in Petite and they have awesome sales.  My local Talbots store has a petite department as large as the regular department.  This is where I get 90% of my tops!

@millieshops  I have given up on QVC and shop mostly at Macy's for petites.  (I'm 5')  I do best online as my local store doesn't have much in the smaller sizes and petites.  It does make for easy returns though if I have to do that.   Right now Macy's also as 15% off on cosmetics.  Their clothing markdowns are great too.

I never understand why the Powers That Be at QVC do not notice that MANY women are NOT TALL.

Long tops do not flatter shorter women: they often look absurd.

@DaysdeeTY -  I know one of these days I'll have to give in and start to shop clothing online.  Right now I'm happy to have access still to decent local shops and since I truly need to buy so little, I'm not forced to follow the sales.  I do  - but I also know I'm fortunate to be able to buy what I like ----as long as I'm not too ridiculous about it!

PS -  I just bought my first pair ever of jeggings -  from CVS of all places  --all of $4.39 with a good coupon.   Not sure I'll ever wear them for anything beyond my early-morning walks, but maybe.
