Re: That Schmoo, he is one tough kitty fighter -- 2.0

Wednesday report:   My heart and pen are heavy and enraged tonight, friends.

The news carried a story about a woman who found a female cat wobbling as it  walked in a town near us called Hanover, PA, with thick electrical wire twisted around its neck. The cat wasn't bleeding but something was desperately wrong.  She rushed it to the closest building, the fire department, where they cut the wire to free the cat. Then she rushed it to medical care -- and found out from the veterinarian that the cat had been tortured, beaten repeatedly in the head with an object like a hammer, fracturing her skull and damaging her brain.  The poor kitty could not be saved.

There's a substantial reward for information about this, and I'd post a link to the story but I know we're not supposed to do it -- it was on TV and there's video of the poor kitty.

I was furious to the point of tears this afternoon that monsters walk the earth who could do this -- and yet there are so many angels like those on this pet forum who show any and every kindness to animals.  I wish I could hug every one of you tonight for your big hearts.  The photo below shows where all kitties and puppies deserve to be:  at home, warm, safe, cherished:

Oh Dear God why.I can't control my tears or my rage right now. I will never understand why things like this happen, this poor baby and the pain she endured, its so unfair. These stories make me physically sick and I cry for all these innocent babies and also I am filled with such hate for the savages who do these things.

If only all the animals in the world could be loved as much as I love my Cookie&Goldie, what a wonderful world it would be. I cherish my babies so as do all of us here on this thread.

Sammycat...

I literally have tears streaming down my face as I'm writing this post. My heart aches for that precious innocent cat who had to endure who knows how many hours of painful torture.

As far as I'm concerned, should they catch the vile s**m who intentionally committed this evil, unforgivable act of animal cruelty...then the punishment should fit the crime. That way they'll feel the exact same excruciating pain that they inflicted on that beautiful girl!!!

The only solace that I can take from this is that she's now in that most blessed place on the other side of The Bridge where she'll be loved by the Angels for all eternity and where she's now made friends with all of our beloved furbabies who also reside there.

I'm going to light a candle for this precious furry soul on the pet loss dot come site.

Hi Dear Friends,  Sammy I am with you and the clan.  No words can describe what should happen to people who harm animals and children.  They cannot protect themselves, vile, vile human kind.

I am so happy MrTibbs is home, I know what a wonderful feeling that is!!

Good news, Joey is improving day by day.  Not great Mom's chemo symptoms are not a bit better.  4 Week checkin on Monday.  I have a list of everything that has happened since she started taking these meds and nothing real good has come of it.  We will go over evertyhing with him and see what his thoughts are.  Praying the dosage will be reduced, that might be a good start.

And I just cant get well dang it!  This cold bug will not leave me.  My lungs are full and I just cant get a good deep breathe.  Will probably need  to check back in with my Dr., this is just lasting too long.  Trying to work, but my co-workers are not happy hearing this constant hacking..Oh well, we do the best we can.

Have a Blessed day Dear Friends. (Hugs)

Prayers being lifted for BJ and her DH, and all the clan.

Thursday report:  I think our dear friend ShopTillYouDrop could use some good wishes and prayers tonight ... between her mom's chemo treatment going poorly and her cold/sinus infection that won't go away, she's getting it from all angles.  Thank goodness her pup Joey is on the rebound!

Sometimes a little treat to lift the spirits is in order.  I vote for something in the "carb" department.  No matter your poison, a little dab will do you.

Hello to everyone,

Shop, I hope you feel better soon, and that your Mom will get some help from her doctor in dealing with the chemo effects. Great news concerning Joey. He is such a little fighter.

I am having a terrible week with my left eye. I am off to the dr in the morning. I have trouble with dry eyes, and my dermatologist has diagnosed me with rosacea. He said it can affect eyes. Anyway, I have some really bad days with pressure and aching in my left eye. I have seen more than one eye specialist, and this has been a bad week.

Good night all.

Re: That Schmoo, he is one tough kitty fighter -- 2.0

Friday report:   A quiet day here on the Schmoo front.  I've started a wellness/fitness program with a trainer -- this program is for people who have had a major alteration to their body...new knee, new hip, new heart, etc...to get the whole body as fit as possible.  I worked out yesterday for the first time and boy did I need some medication last night!

Took today off so I hope it goes a little easier tomorrow.  Moral of the story:  While recovering from surgery, you turn to mush. A lot of mush!

Tissyanne, we hope the discomfort from your poor eyes is alleviated soon; it sounds painful.  So today's report is for you, and I thought I'd feature one of my favorite photos of Schmoo,  I like it because he allowed me to get very close to him and snap a photo of those wonderful, wise green eyes. I often wonder how I measured up in them. There's a hint of speckle-nosey in this for you, special, too:

I have ocular rosacea, and so I will have an ongoing routine to keep my symptoms at bay. This is a problem that will be life long, and has really been with me for several years. It escalated last week. I feel good that I can help myself to keep symptoms minimal with the help of my dermatologist and eye doctors. Love this photo of our Mr. Schmoo. Smiley Happy

Re: That Schmoo, he is one tough kitty fighter -- 2.0

Hi everyone.

Shop I am glad to hear Joey is doing better but so sorry about your MOm and I am praying things get better for her and soon. Hope you feel better too, those sinus issues can linger for a long time.

Tissyanne so sorry about your eyes and that must be so painful. I hope you are feeling better and the DR can make you more comfortable.

My hubby can't do the chemo the Dr wanted beause our copay is $3100.00.That is insane so now we are waiting to hear what else can be  done. We simply cannot afford that. Not sure if all this aggravation is the cause of my chest pains but I will be seeing a cardiac Dr soon.

Sammycat I bet that the trainor will get you back to feeling good, they really knwo what they are doing and hope to hear that soon you are feelign so much better. I love this picture of Schmoo, that speckled nose makes my heart flutter and thats not my angina, lol.
