Re: Should I be feeding a feral cat???

No.  Putting food outside can attract racoons and mice in addition to diseased cats.  I've seen it happen and I wouldn't do it.

Re: Should I be feeding a feral cat???

I am so sorry to hear about Teddy.   I am just catching up on reading my favorite threads and saw the announcement on 10/16.

I wish I could say just the right thing to make your pain go away.  Just know that Teddy absolutely loved her life with you and the new feline additions to the family only made her happier.  She loved being with them.  She is now free of pain.

Re: Should I be feeding a feral cat???

So sorry for your loss. Your Teddy was a beautiful, special pup. She was a lucky girl to be so loved and well cared for for her long life. Your devotion to her was evident in every word you wrote about her. May she RIP at the Rainbow Bridge with many of my precious pets who have passed on until we can join them. Thank you for sharing your sad news and also when you can share happy news and pictures of the kitties. I am SO thankful you decided to feed a feral cat. I'll pray that soon your sadness may start to be replaced with sweet memories. Bless you!

Re: Should I be feeding a feral cat???

Good morning luvsmyteddy.  It has been quite sometime since we have heard from you and I just wanted to check in to see how you are doing.  I hope all is going well with your and all of your sweet kitty babies.  I know it has been a tough road with all that you have been through lately and losing Teddy, but I hope that your broken heart is healing and that the kities are adjusting to Teddy being gone.  I have missed your posts and hope you post again soon to let us know that you are doing ok and maybe post some new pictures of you fur babies.  Hope to hear from you soon.  Have a Merry Christmas.

Re: Should I be feeding a feral cat???

Thank you, I haven't been back for quite awhile. My three kitties have moved over on the bed to take Teddy's spot.

Little Titan (pumpkindoodle) the most feral has taken to sleeping beside me in the dark so that is progress. He even lets me rub all over him and once in awhile in the morning.

Tarzan (Tarzie) is just the best - affectionate as ever and my puppy/cat.

Big Papa is wonderful and has let 2 new people pet him and doesn't run away from strangers. The babies still hide under the bed when someone comes over.

Big Papa and Tarzan are so close and hug all day long, but Tarzan starts all the trouble but they love him. The babies still play/fight all the time.

Here are some recent pictures: pretty happy!

Re: Should I be feeding a feral cat???

Thanks for sharing.  They look healthy and happy and spoiled.  Have never met a cat that hasn't been spoiled though, I know all of mine are.  Has it been a year yet since you brought them in?  I know it is getting close.  So glad you took these beautiful guys into your home and heart.  You are blessed and so are they.

Re: Should I be feeding a feral cat???

3-22-16 042.JPGHello everyone, it's hard to believe Big Papa is 3 and the his two babies are 2 years old now. We are all doing great and Titan, the shy one is finally coming around and is getting pets, only took a year and a half!

Big Papa makes a great guard cat which I like.
