I would call your Vet's office ASAP ....they will know exactly what you should do .... just like people dogs can have different reactions to bee stings ... better safe than sorry!!

Google says,

Bathe the stung area with a solution of baking soda and water. Immediately apply ice packs to reduce swelling (lining the pack with cloth or a thin towel). Do this frequently for 5 minutes at a time. One way to treatbee stings is to give the dog Benadryl (diphenhydramine) by mouth.

Hope this helps!

Always consider a professional before giving your dog Benadryl. You can use this table as an instrument to see how much Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) you can give your dog. You should administer this dosage every 8 hours/3 times a day.

I always have benadryl on hand.  It is safe and very helpful with bee stings.

I have a small dog, 14 pounds, so I keep liquid children's Benedryl on hand.  It makes dosing easier.  Also, don't forget that Benedryl comes in a topical that can be applied to the irritated area.

We think mine was stung by a bee a few weeks ago. The side of her neck was really swollen. I took her to the vet, they gave her a shot of antihistamines and something else I can't remember. It was already starting to go down some by the time I got into the vet though.

@Nataliesgramma - I don't know if the vet told you, but the Benadryl might make your girl a little sleepier and a little thirstier than usual.  Both are common side effects.
