I'd be very gratefrul for a review. I buy myself ONE thing every year for my birthday and have my eye on the white crackle bead necklace. On the page the white looks almost like a beautiful glace but that could be decieving. We know he who hesitates etc.

The white barrel appealed to me too, well, actually all the colors did, so I ordered it. I love Howlite.  I am a bit hesitant because the beads are really BIG, but I love the LONG necklaces Louis does.  The item no. is: J329558

My white necklace arrived today.  LOVE it!!!  It's truly unique, and as Louis said, it's not in the least matronly.  I like it best with my LBDs where it really is a statement, but haven't had the time as yet to try it with other things.

Just went back and ordered the black set!

I have one very similar from a few years ago in white by KJL and I have enjoyed it.  I really am Jonesing for the brown one. But my credit card is quite hot right now.  Gotta fan it for a while. I bought last week and last night and again tonight, so exceeded the limit of what I had allowed myself.  Lose will power when Louis is in the house.

Any one who's received the white yet: do the beads have a glazed finish? I don't like howlite; if I remember howlite has a matte finish.

It has more of a glazed finish, not matte at all. But not overly shiny.  More like porcelain. Just the perfect amount of shine IMO. Louis described the black bead as having a shiny finish.
