I still remember the Isaac Mizrahi fashion jewelry cuff that cost somewhere over $3500 (yes, you read that right).

It was ridiculous and many of us thought the price must've been a misprint (missed a decimal point), until it got reduced to just over $2000.  It was supposed to be an outline of the NYC skyline.  It looked incredibly cheap and tacky!  (I resisted buying any for my gift closet.)
