Has anyone ever made one of these cakes opposite of what the recipe says? What I mean is, have you ever just baked a box pineapple cake according to the directions, then poured the butter, brown sugar & pineapple mixture on top of the baked cake? Reason I aked is because I always have trouble turning out the cake into another pan. I don't have a plate large enough for a 9 x 13 inch cake & I like to cover it and put it in the refrigerator. I have several pretty Temptations cake pans, but I end up dumping the finished product into an old metal pan because I found that the easiest way to transfer it. Anyone?
