Hi Terrier!

I never heard of those carrots either!

May I ask what Farmer's Market you found them at? I know we are 'Buffalo Gals'.

I am always looking for a field trip to a new market!

The Native Offerings stand at the Bidwell Farmers Market...they had MANY colorful varieties. They specialize in old and rare veggies....have you ever been there?

BTW - I roasted them last night with just a little olive oil. They ended up looking ""shriveled""...but BOY were they delicious...we just added a grind of salt.

I think carrots and tomatoes are the most amazing vegetables when you can find them in a market. The taste is so different than store bought.

I wish I could find some of these in my area...but I haven't seen any so far. I love carrots, and I love bright colored food -- great combination! I guess I need to go to the big farmer's market in the next city over from where I am, but haven't had a chance.

I'm lucky, kittymomNC, to have a Saturday farmers market within walking distance...well, actually one mile away...but it's a pleasant way to get my FitBit steps in!

I volunteer at a local farmers' market. I'm the wine coordinator and I man the info booth when I have time.

Every time I go, it's a culinary adventure for my fridge!

The tie dye carrots I got from the co-op market in the organic section.

What does a wine coordinator do? Whatever it is, you're perfect for the job!

We have 4 or 5 wineries represented, but they are all solo vendors.
