I'm ordering a full sheet cake (18x24) for my son's graduation.

There will be leftovers, no doubt, because we're not having a huge GTG, just a few family/friends who will be here from out of town for the ceremony. But I have a 12 y/o son also, and he and his buddies LOVE cake, which I only bake on our birthdays, plus I'll send some home with my mom since her dh has the World's Biggest Sweet Tooth! {#emotions_dlg.tt1}

When we were planning our wedding reception, we told the cake designer/baker we wanted to have enough cake for 3x3 pieces, and leftovers would be fine. We both hated going to a wedding and getting a one-bite sample size of cake. When I see that a cake 18x24 serves up to 108 people, I crack up! Maybe 108 people who are not cake lovers!

Do you 'size up' your cakes, or do you just figure 1.5x2 per serving is fine? I think that's a petit fore ! {#emotions_dlg.lol}
