Help with freezing corn

With the abundance of fresh corn now, I want to buy up a lot and freeze it off the cob for use during the rest of the year.

What method do you all use? Should I blanch it, just cut it off the cob and put it in freezer bags or containers?

Your help will be greatly appreciated!
