Some are, some aren't. In Giada's case I believe it's shot in a specially constructed kitchen on her property, but not the kitchen in her house. Think about it: who would want all those cameras, lights and other heavy equipment beating up their home?

I read also that they don't film in their own homes, can you imagine the mess that would make?

I read that Ina had them film a couple in her own kitchen but she was angry because they didn't wipe their feet or take off their shoes and made a mess out of her floors so they don't do it there and haven't for some time.

I wonder what Trisha Yearwood does? I just assumed that was her house but maybe not. Thinking about it, I would want a special set too rather than having a film crew constantly in my house.

I would be in BIG trouble if they filmed my kitchen! I think the last Julia Child series was filmed in her own personal kitchen.

When Trisha's show was announced they said it was being filmed in her Nashville home. I remember there was quite an ugly thread about her show on Chowhound as many of us were hoping to see her Oklahoma spread. LOL
